The roof covering of the building is a pitched roof made of layers of materials that have proven to be optimal in construction and architectural practice. A polyethylene foil is used over the reinforced concrete slab of the top floor as waterproofing, further protecting the residential space from moisture penetration. Excellent thermal insulation is provided by a 26 cm layer of mineral wool, which gives the top-floor residential space a pleasant climate and energy savings. Between the pitched roof and thermal insulation, there is a ventilated airspace that prevents the transfer of heat from the external environment to the final roof finish. The final coating of the roof covering is plastified folded sheet metal with secondary waterproofing, characterized by high load-bearing capacity, which is very important in conditions of heavy snow cover and strong winds.
The flat roofs of the building are intended for use as roof terraces, constructed in layers of the highest quality materials. This adds extra living quality to the building, while not compromising the lower residential units from moisture and temperature transfer. The insulation system on the reinforced concrete slab includes a bituminous vapor barrier that prevents the penetration of water vapor into the 22 cm combined thermal insulation of high performance, over which is an additional polyethylene waterproofing foil. Water drainage from the terrace to the drains is ensured by a 4-5 cm slope and granite ceramic tiles resistant to frost and wear, with additional anti-slip properties.
The main filling of the facade wall is Climate block – 20 cm, which meets the strict criteria for the building’s energy efficiency. As the name suggests, the Climate block ensures a pleasant climate in your home in different weather conditions while saving energy needed for heating/cooling. It also provides excellent sound insulation, which further enhances a pleasant living environment. Additionally, the Climate block is made exclusively from natural materials – high-quality kaolin clays, without any artificial additives, guaranteeing a healthy climate and ecological living conditions.
Additional thermal insulation is provided by 10 cm of mineral wool, and the ventilated layer between it and the final facade finish significantly reduces heat transfer onto the wall during the summer months and prevents condensation.
The final facade cladding consists of fiber-cement panels that give the building a modern architectural look while not fading or changing color, even with prolonged exposure to UV rays. The composition of the material ensures good air circulation, preventing mold or fungal formation. Moreover, fiber-cement panels are highly resistant to impact, wind, moisture, and fire, classifying them as A1 category materials.
